Do I have to become an Australian citizen?
No! Your Visa is the only requirement for you to temporarily reside and undertake your training in Australia.
What currency can I use to pay for my lessons?
Only Australian currency is accepted.
Direct Deposits, Bank Cheques, Overseas Transfers etc, from other currencies are subject to conversion to the Australian currency. Any costs – transfer fees, conversion fees, etc – are borne by the payee (you).
Where can I live?
MFT can arrange accomodation through “Homestay”, a service that provides pre-checked homes for accomodation at a reasonable rent.
Alternatively you can make your own arrangements which might be family, friends, etc.
Can I go to my home country for holidays?
Yes! Provided that you organise any trip subject to conditions imposed by MFT and your Visa.
My native language is not English, does it matter?
No! However you need to meet a minimum level 4 Aviation English Language Proficiency assessment to hold a PPL or higher licence. Please refer to our International Student page for more information regarding English level requirements for enrolment.
